Trustees Profiles: Jim Weiss

An American, married to Janice, and have four children. After graduating from the University of North Carolina in 1982 with a degree in Zoology, Jim started teaching in a school for disabled adults and living in a group home for troubled teenagers.

Then in 1986, Jim became a follower of Jesus through a Presbyterian Church. At the same time, he went to work for a local college as a manager of programmes which included, English as a Second Language, High School Completion, and programmes for the mentally disabled.

In 1998, he and his wife were called to join World Harvest Mission and use their gifts in youth work to plant a church in the South Asian community in West London.

He presently manages the youth outreach and training in the Hounslow/Southall area of London for World Harvest, and is part of the New Life Masih Ghar Church.

Jim has traveled to India on mission trips and hopes to make annual trips there in the future.
