Trustees Profiles: Nigel Studley

Born in Bristol and married to Rachel, who was born and raised in Punjab, India. The Studley's have three young children, Ayeesha, Alex & Abigail.

For many years Nigel and Rachel have wanted to do something practical to help the slum and street children they encountered on their trips to India. They founded Frishta as a charitable trust in 2003, and it is their vision to see a children's home and school established to serve the orphaned, displaced, runaway and abandoned children of the community.

Nigel is a qualified Accountant and worked for a majorBank in London for 20 years. Nigel is also a trained foster parent and has been a
voluntary Youth Worker in several churches and a local Council Youth Club, and a former Governor of Viking Primary School, Yeading, Borough of Ealing, London.

In March 2008 the Studleys left the UK to begin the construction of the Frishta Children's Village in India.
